Apple Products We’re NOT Expecting to Launch in 2024
In the highly competitive tech industry, Apple has continually surprised consumers with innovative products. However, as 2024 approaches,
it seems that some anticipated launches may be delayed. Let’s delve into the products that we’re no longer expecting from Apple this year.
iPhone SE 4
Despite previous rumors indicating a 2024 release, the highly anticipated fourth-generation iPhone SE is now widely
expected to debut in 2025. This delay means the current āiPhone SEā, launched in March 2022, will be at least 33 months old by the time its
successor hits the market. The next-gen āiPhone SEā is projected to feature a Design based on the iPhone 14, an OLED display, a larger battery,
an Action Button, USB-C port, Face ID, and potentially Apple’s first custom 5G cellular modem.
AirTag 2
Production of the highly anticipated second-generation AirTag tracker was initially slated for the fourth quarter of 2024.
However, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, mass production and release are now expected to be pushed back to 2025. This delay
is attributed to the integration of the second-generation āAirTagā into a new spatial computing ecosystem that Apple is developing, featuring
the Vision Pro as the core to integrate other devices. The new āAirTagā is anticipated to incorporate Apple‘s second-generation Ultra Wideband
chip, offering more precise tracking at longer distances.
MicroLED Apple Watch Ultra
The first Apple device with a microLED display is set to be an upcoming Apple Watch Ultra model, anticipated for release in late 2025
or 2026. With a display size of 2.12 inches, a 10% increase from the current model, the microLED display promises improved brightness, color
reproduction, dynamic range, viewing angles, and efficiency. This project underscores Apple‘s strategy to reduce reliance on Samsung as a supplier
while gaining benefits from Engineering its own displays in-house.
imac Pro
Apple continues to be rumored to be working on a high-end “iMac Pro” model featuring a 32-inch mini-LED display and an expanded selection
of ports. Despite the discontinuation of larger āiMacā models in 2021, Apple aims to launch a bigger and more powerful āiMacā model. While initial
reports hinted at a late 2024 launch, 2025 is now considered a more plausible time frame for the release of the new āiMacā Pro.
Foldable iPhone and ipad
Despite extensive speculation and patents related to foldable display technology, it appears that the launch of a foldable iPhone or ipad
from Apple is still some time away. Rumors regarding a foldable āāiPhoneāā have been circulating since 2020, with suggestions that Apple was
exploring foldable display technology. While initial projections indicated a 2024 release, revised predictions now point to 2025 or later for the
introduction of a foldable āiPhoneā. Similarly, Apple‘s focus on expanding OLED displays throughout the āiPadā and Mac lineups indicates that
a foldable āiPadā may still be under consideration for the future.
As anticipation for these products continues, the delay in their release is indicative of Apple‘s commitment to delivering products of the highest
quality and technological Innovation. While consumers may need to wait longer than expected, the delayed releases are likely to bring significant
advancements and enhancements that will surpass expectations when they finally arrive on the market.
